Beyond Essential Mapping and Surveillance provides specialist support for enhanced intelligence gathering and informed decision making in the health, environment and disaster response sectors through the utilization of digital mobile data collection, reporting and mapping technologies. The development of customized map-based surveillance and integrated spatial decision support systems (SDSS) to support:

  • Automated disease mapping using routinely reported health system data;
  • High-resolution surveillance, rapid reporting, outbreak detection and targeted response; and
  • Integrated automated geo-spatial analysis to support response intervention targeting, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

Geo-spatial data collection operations including:

  • Global position system (GPS) mapping and data collection;
  • Field-based Geographical Reconnaissance operations to rapidly define, enumerate and map target populations; and
  • Aerial Reconnaissance mapping using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology for rapid site assessment.

Field-based digital mobile data collection and survey including:

  • Epidemiological assessment and disease indicator survey;
  • Rapid site assessment; and

Asset-based mapping and monitoring including:
